Course runs:
Fortnightly

Would you like to spend time with a group of enthusiastic people who love to read the Bible? Join us on Wednesday evenings as we read the Scriptures, search out answers, follow topics of interest, ask questions that might be puzzling us, and delve deeper into God’s Word.

This series of classes is for people who are quite familiar with the Bible. Classes vary from week to week, but can include presentations, discussion or workshops. We enjoy supper together after the class.

Topics are:

May 9: Important? Consistent prayer
May 23: Isaiah: Kingdom themes
June 6: Isaiah: The servant songs
June 20: HIP—Q&A

Level: Advanced – for Bible readers of several years.

Bible readings

Come in during the week while we're open and read the Bible with us and discuss it! We're open every weekday except Wednesday, 10am–2pm, and we'd love to read God's word with you. For workers, a lunch break might be a good time for you to come.

Normally we will follow a plan which helps you to read the whole Bible in a year, and the New Testament twice; over on the left in the “Bible Reading Planner” section, you can see today's readings, and if you'd like to see the whole year chart, that's available too. We've also got bookmarks and calendars featuring this Bible reading planner; inquire in our shop to get a copy.

If you have a particular reading you'd like to read and discuss with us, we're generally happy to do that, too.

Distance Learning Bible Study

“Walk in” correspondence course – or by mail

Now two correspondence courses are available for those who can’t attend regular classes. “God’s Master Plan”, an 8 lesson course, is an introduction to the good news of God’s Master Plan. It explores the faith and obedience that God requires from those wanting to share in his wonderful plan for the earth. “Learning about your Bible” has 14 lessons which help you understand the Bible and God’s offer of salvation to you. Exploring the Bible is an exciting adventure – these courses assist!

If you find it difficult to attend a class, you might consider taking a Bible correspondence course. These correspondence courses can be done by mail, but help is also available for you from the shop staff between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday. We recommend you come in and have your answers marked on the spot so that you can discuss anything you do not understand. You can have all the advantages of a correspondence course and a personal tutor!
